The donation was inspired by Hall of Fame coach John Calipari's new program, Coffee With Cal, an extension of the John Calipari Fantasy Experience.  This program was created by Coach Cal to raise awareness and help feed families in need during the COVID-19 national crisis. In an interview to LEX18 Coach Cal noted, "what brings hope to me is when I see people reaching out and our country coming together to understand people are suffering. What can I do in the little space of the world? I can't save the world but what can we do here? I Just hope everybody is thinking in those terms."
