Love Your New Sleep Routine

Love Your New Bedtime Routine 💕

Night time routines aren't just for kinds- they are for adults as well! Having a routine before bed can help quiet your mind so that you can get a better night's sleep. Here's what a great bedtime routine looks like.
1. Cut out caffeine, nicotine and alcohol!
Having alcohol in your system can lead to disrupted sleep, leaving you still tired in the morning. Nicotine and caffeine are stimulants, so it can make it hard to fall asleep with these in your system. Avoid all three of these things at least 4 hours in advance.
2. Have a light snack!
Avoid having a heavy meal at least 2 hours before you go to bed because digesting it could keep you awake. Enjoy a light snack before bed so you don't wake up from hunger in the middle of the night.
3. Use a nightguard!
Got stress? Stress can often lead to body aches, pains, tightness and headaches from Bruxism and night-time grinding. Using a nightguard is the perfect night-time solution to help keep your teeth safe and to give you a better night's sleep. The CustMbite hard surface nightguard is a great nightguad. It has an extra hard-surface layer that is capable of protecting your teeth from even the worst night-time grinding!
4. Lower your bedroom's temperature
Temperature is a super important factor in achieving optimal sleep. Research shows that setting your thermostat to 65 degrees is the best for your body's circadian rhythm. Do this to get your next best night's sleep!
5. Take a hot shower or bath
Taking a hot shower or bath 1-2 hours before bed helps your body relax before bed. It releases tension from muscles and allows you to drift off to sleep more easily once you get in bed.
